The students from grades 1 and 2 from Janice and Carin's class spend months working on a charitable project raising money for La Fundation Catalina Munoz in Colombia. It highlighted the virtues program at MSB, emphasizing gratitude, thankfulness, generosity and self-discipline.

After seeing a recording of a school in need in Colombia, the students appreciated and were thankful for all they have at home and at MSB. Following this, their self-discipline jumped into action as they used their spare time to design and create hair clips and hairbands as well as promotional literature. The beautiful handicrafts were put up for sale at the school Winter Fair in December. With great pride and delight, they were able to raise a total of 2,865 RMB!

A beautiful lesson, especially as we live in a world of change full of challenges, yet distance doesn't divide or diminish the good we can do for others no matter how near or far we may find ourselves.
